Pastels!! My Easter Dotticure

It's SPRING! :) I'm so happy! Although the weather is pretty much always the same here in Hawaii I'm glad its spring! It's so so so rainy today so I needed some color to cheer me up :) I can't wait to wear more pastels and bright colors... I'm so ready! hehe... So to kick off Easter and Spring I did a pastel mani :)

I used 10 polishes to create this look...

Here's the polishes I used... All of them are Barry M...the top row were my base colors and the bottom row were my dot colors.... the colors from left to right are: Top: Strawberry Ice Cream, Prickly Pear Gelly, Lemon Ice Cream, Peach Melba, and Blue Moon...
Bottom: Raspberry, Plum Gelly, Silver Foil Effects, Grapefruit Gelly, and Indigo

First I used 2 coats of all the base colors....they all leveled out and reached opacity in 2 coats.

Then the fun part~ Dotting :)

Macros of my fingers.... *slight tip wear because I didn't take pictures until after work......*

Hope you enjoyed this dotticure :)

My new favorite polish...

Yes.... I have lots of favorite polishes but I think I've found my new all time favorite... in the couple of days that I've gotten it, I've already worn it 3 times.... It's Girly Bit's Hot Shot :) It's part of Girly Bit's PS I love you collection which came out a while ago but I was finally able to get my lil hands on Hot Shot (Twitterpated is on its way to meeee haha) its so so so so so so pretty...

For this mani I put on Zoya's Chyna as an accent on my pointer :)

Some bottle shots... :) On the Girly Bits site, Hot Shot is described as "a hot pink holographic"

Taken while I was in the car...some sunlight in the background :)

Natural light in my room... I love that even in my room looking at my nails I can still see the holo yumminess :)

*sigh* It's sooo pretty....

The other day I also did a mani using Hot Shot and Eggnogoholic...its reaally nice huh?

Hot Shot can be purchased at Llarowe , Harlow and Co , the Girly Bits bigcartel shop , or at Mei Mei's Signatures

MS awareness Mani and Saint Patrick Mani

This one is a doozy....its actually 2 manis in one post. This past week I did two very special manis. One was an orange mani for MS awareness and the other was a festive glittery mani for Saint Patricks day :)

I like them both :) lets start off with the orange mani..

When one of my friends on facebook talked about doing orange manis for MS awwareness I immediately agreed... also orange is the color for Kidney Cancer awareness so I felt that this was really meaningful.

For the orange I immediatley gravitated to OPI's Y'all Come Back Ya Hear? and it was perfect! Juicy jelly and gorgeously opaque-ish in 3 coats...for the accent fingers I chose Maya Cosmetics- Like A Boss which is a nude-y peach but has a subtle holo-ness to it..

I thought the orange was lacking a little something so I ended up topping it with Northern Lights Hologram Top Coat in both the silver and the gold... I love the subtle-ness of it but the glittery holo is still noticeable.

Then it was Saint Patrick's day and I totally wracked my brain for a suitable mani. I knew I wanted to do green obviously but I didn't want to go dark green...I wanted to go pastel :) So I used 2 coats of Zoya's Neely and then topped it with a layer of Lynnderella's She Lived in A Swamp. Then for the gold fingers I used Zoya's Ziv topped with Julep's Oscar and Vivien for more depth. I also used the same Nothern Lights top coat for the gold nails to give it some more oomph!

You can see the depth and some of the holo-ness of the gold :)

Some macros of the nails :) I love the complexity of the Lynnderella with the gold mix that I used..

Hope you liked these two manis as much as I did...oh and did you enter my giveaway yet? it ends in 12 days ;) Enter here
